CA Wildfires in the LA Area Rage On - 1/11/2025

Some aspects of fire gotten under control, some aspects still at too far a danger level.
The acreage of the fire is about the size of an average to large city in the US when added together.
Needless to say, but need to say, sometimes wildfires will merge together after a while and become one big fire.
Safety: Best not to be between sets of fires with that potentiality, especially if unprotected.

Federal agencies are reported to be looking into elements pertinent, such as the possibility of drone interference with firefighting efforts. It's simple, if there is drone interference, that's terrorism, whether local, foreign, arson direct and indirect, intended to be jokes, or intended to affect infrastructure. If you see it, or someone at that activity, it is highly advised to immediately call 9-1-1.

Higher fire magnitude and increased intensity obviously have dangers.

California Highlands Wildfire in Riverside County -Late in the Year But Raging

Thousands are evacuating the area.

There are reports of wildfires either having been in recently, still are, or moving towards:

São Teotónio/ Odemira/ Beja
Ourem
Districts: Beja and Faro
Possible: Monchique mountain range

It's about 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the general region through here.

New Challenge of Complexity: COVID-19 Illness While Attending to Wildfire Containment Efforts

According to Wildfire Today, 2 fatalities occurred, individuals fighting wildfires, which were not necessarily a direct repercussion of the wildfire itself. However, they were on the scene. This leaves the door open to prove, disprove, and find any possible correlations of wildfire to COVID-19 and other illnesses. We know respiratory vagaries are among common denominators, and may be involved.

Wildfires in Tennessee December 1st, 2, 3rd, 2016 Unusual Danger

Unusual danger possibly because it is not really wildfire season, like what is expected in California and Oregon in July, August, and September.
What is going on here, or what went on at least up until today, is quickly and deadly approaching wildfires, where it appears there are a few of them, all within 5 or 10 miles of each other, surround, engulf, and sweep through certain areas.
Roads in the areas affected in about the past week up until now, Rt 71, 441, and east of Rt 321.

Gatlinburg area, Sevier County. Impacted area, as it stands now, is just north of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a bit southeast of Knoxville, and southwest of Cherokee National Forest

Note: caution, fire might appear out, but, general rule, be wary of tinder which could cause re-eruption

60,000 Cumulative Acres of Wildfire in California

Heightened concerns have been hitting the press the past few days about the extent of total acreage in California in the process of undergoing wildfire as we speak. The wildfires are in different locations throughout the state. There might be other smaller wildfires, so this list is not intended to be the most current nor complete, and does not give containment levels, however gives an idea with what is being contended with.

1- Erskine fire, Kern County, about 36,000 acres burned
2- 7,609-acre Border fire in San Diego County
3- 5,285-acre San Gabriel Complex fire in Los Angeles County’s mountains
4- 7,474-acre Sherpa fire, ... Santa Barbara County
5- Marina fire, Mono County, which broke out north of Lee Vining on Friday, had burned 819 acres
6- Klamath National Forest [mainly in Siskiyou County in northern California], the lightning-sparked Pony fire had burned 2,858 acres

Forest Fire Not Too Far from Philadelphia May 2016

Around just before the middle of May 2016, was a wildfire that might be considered an eye-catcher/opener. Burlington County Forest Fire, where over 400 acres was burning. The forest fire, might have actually been comprised of more than one fire, reference Pemberton Township, Tabernacle, Woodland Townships. Fire technically in New Jersey, and ominously close to Philadelphia.

Every year, wildfires emerge in California, it is a cycle of nature, making the way for new avenues of life among the plants and animals. In the past few years, there seems to be an occurrence of wildfires that is severer in intensity than the year before. Some of this might be attributed to climatic condition changes.

This year, is something serious, and might require efforts that are beyond just another wildfire season bumped up in the number of acres that needs to be controlled.

What has been going on for the past couple of days are heat and fires that look like they are from another dimension, with no mercy.

Rolling out high caliber technology, even if from states outside California, might be among solutions.

Major areas affected are Yolo, Lake, and Colusa Counties. The acreage is over 100,000, at minimum, about 135,000 the number a consensus to consider; -- with the amount of heat, the actual acreage that is in danger is larger than that.

Evacuations have been taking place.
