3 Animal Dangers in the News Today, Carry Accidents with Moose, Eradication of Deer, Elephant Charges

Moose-vehicle crashes.
Upper Mid-Atlantic has been relatively plagued.
Moose occupied regions of the world.
Moose crossing a road or making use of a road especially for convenience.
It's pretty evident the danger of a dark colored moose at night or dark times, and white or albino similar affected (leucism, piebald, etc.) moose during matching color snow (confer Foleyet, Ontario), suddenly emerging onto a roadway, especially in slippery conditions, inclement weather, and visibility difficult, such as a blizzard, rain storm, or dense fog. Plus, moose might be 1000 to 3000 pounds.

When a car impacts these animals, typically what happens, is a severely smashed windshield, and corresponding corresponding injuries to the occupants of car.

Briefly, crashing into a moose can be almost like crashing into another small car.

Deer eradication slated.
There are deer-vehicle crashes.
In terms of the damage a deer can cause, most say it is less than moose due to the comparison in size.
Of course there are exceptions, such as a very large deer the size of small moose.

In another area, the proposals to eradicate deer have come up, such as in the
Catalina Island Conservancy in California in 2024, where a couple of thousand mule deer wee on their way to be shot from helicopters, before public opposition slowed it.
Now in 2025, out of concerns for wildfires bring started, there are plans being drawn up to shoot them from the ground instead of from the air.

Elephant trampling.
In some regions of the word, being trampled by an elephant is not exactly times last, it's still going on.
There was a recent incident in South Africa at an individual's gaming preserve; an elephant engaged in unanticipated behavior. Blunt force injuries, as they me be called, often the result without going into detail. Somewhere between over a hundred and less than a thousand elephant related deaths are estimated to occur a year.

Different kinds of damage in animal-vehicle crashes.
Ramifications or domino effects on roads after crashing into a moose, deer, or any other animal, might not be limited to just animal-vehicle impact. Other events like rear ending the car in front of another car that was suddenly stopped or in another lane due to impact (with an animal), and vehicles colliding with other vehicles the result of an unfolding incident.

Recourses, comments.
Ideas about shooting mass amounts of animals from helicopters like it was the manner of 70s warfare glamorized in the start of an 80's action TV series in prime time, has been in the public debate sphere for a range of animals. My opinions, mass shooting is a bad example, and a bad trend setter. Sending 2 or 3 of the animals or herds to different zoos, can be a solution. It might have a monetary cost. Or just move them. Fencing and herding projects. Shooting them also involves the cleanup process, which could entail additional sets of rounds of activities not in the most liked taste.
Incineration and other techniques for disposal, might, not saying for sure given region to region handling differences, be on the table.
Leaving carcasses out, might attract other carcass hungry predators like cougars to an area, which could possibly exacerbated the very same problems eradicating deer was aimed at doing. Also giving extra pounds and exercises for already large  dangerous animals to grow even larger and stronger.
